Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer V to support DOJ OJP OCIO, delivering complex software solutions and automated pipelines. You will lead design, API integrations, and remediation efforts, while guiding secure, resilient engineering practices aligned with enterprise architecture.

The role emphasizes hands-on senior engineering, debugging, performance improvements, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure digital products for government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 6+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
• Experience designing APIs, integrations, and automated tests.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure development.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD platforms.
• Experience developing or supporting RESTful APIs and data integrations.
• Experience with cloud-hosted or containerized applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Citizenship/residency/background checks per task order.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of complex software solutions.
• Analyze issues; perform root-cause analysis and durable remediation.
• Develop secure, modular APIs and data integrations to reduce tech debt.
• Provide senior support for API development and DIAMD-related activities.
• Lead CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, and IaC practices.
• Mentor engineers and promote DevSecOps and secure coding standards.
• Prepare technical findings and roadmaps for government stakeholders.
• Coordinate with security and networking teams on patching and compliance.
