Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer IV to support DOJ/OCIO, modernizing and sustaining mission-critical digital products.

You will design complex software components, APIs, and integrations, lead CI/CD and security practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet federal requirements. Expect hands-on development with cloud and container technologies in a challenging gov environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline.
Minimum six years' progressive software engineering experience.
Experience designing complex enhancements, APIs, and integrations.
Strong DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure software development practices.
Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD platforms.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and data integrations.
Cloud-hosted or containerized apps and automated deployment experience.
Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and deploy enterprise components, APIs, and integrations.
Lead technical analysis of requests, defects, and issues; propose solutions.
Design and publish APIs; manage lifecycle, governance, and testing.
Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure deployment practices.
Coordinate with security and networking teams on patching and remediation.
Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
Develop and maintain technical runbooks and documentation.
