Job summary

Leidos seeks a Software Engineer IV to design and implement complex APIs, integrations, and automation within DOJ/OCIO initiatives. You will contribute to DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure engineering practices across enterprise products.

The role requires hands-on development, cloud/container experience, and collaboration with government stakeholders to deliver mission-critical digital services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• Minimum six years of software engineering experience within enterprise applications.
• Experience designing and implementing complex APIs, system integrations, and automated tests.
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps, configuration management, and secure software practices.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD platforms.
• Experience developing/restoring RESTful APIs and data integrations.
• Experience with cloud-hosted or containerized apps and automated deployment.
• Strong understanding of software design, testing, maintainability, and secure engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, integrate, test, deploy, and sustain complex components and APIs.
• Revise software to improve function, security, and performance while reducing defects.
• Lead technical analysis of requests, defects, and integration requirements; propose practical solutions.
• Design, publish, and maintain APIs and data integrations using approved technologies.
• Configure and support API management and platform administration with security teams.
• Develop and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.
• Support cloud-hosted and containerized apps, including monitoring and logs.
• Mentor engineers in secure, maintainable development practices.
• Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, cybersecurity, and business analysts.
