Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Colorado Springs is seeking a Software Engineer to join the C2BMC-Regional team. You will design, develop, and test Java-based applications for the U.S. Missile Defense System in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You will work on enterprise applications, analyze issues, and contribute to operations automation while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree and an active DoD Secret clearance are required, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field, or equivalent experience with 3+ years.
• Experience with coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines.
• Java/J2EE experience or other OO development; C++ also desired.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a rapid, team environment.
• Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test the C2BMC software applications in Java for the Regional team.
• Contribute to design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation.
• Perform in-depth analysis and support of systems software products.
• Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems and improve efficiency.
• Design, code, test and implement tools for operations automation.
• Work across most software phases with guidance as needed.
• Follow standards and lifecycle processes for software development.
• Prepare operating instructions and program documentation.
