Lockheed Martin seeks a software engineer for the C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train to design, develop, and test Java real-time applications. The role involves working in a fast-paced Agile environment with cross-disciplinary teams on the U.S. Missile Defense System.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in software/CS or related field, 3+ years' exp, and an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret clearance. Proficiency in Java, UNIX/Linux, and version control is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software / computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, plus 3+ years of professional experience.
• ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
• Experience with Java-based applications in UNIX/Linux environments and structured, process-based teams.
• Experience using configuration management tools (e.g., Git/Gitlab) in software development.
• Familiarity with system engineering artifacts such as requirements, use cases, SysML diagrams, and related docs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new Java real-time applications and maintain existing Java applications.
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines.
• Work from system specifications to develop or modify operating system applications.
• Assist with design, coding, benchmarking, debugging and documentation of programs.
• Interface with other system support groups and generate design artifacts for reviews.
