Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Fluency with AI coding agents and willingness to use AI for building.
• Depth in Ruby on Rails, Go, or React with TypeScript, or the ability to become proficient quickly.
• Track record of designing and owning non-trivial Platform systems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the authorization platform and access checks.
• Improve speed and reliability of permission checks as usage grows.
• Build interfaces and tooling for teams to add access control.
• Lead migration of older permissions logic to the modern platform.
• Mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and write proposals.
• Ensure end-to-end quality with automated testing and controlled rollouts.
• Collaborate with product and security teams to address access-control needs.
