Job summary

Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ohio seeks an experienced engineering leader to design, implement, and support enterprise applications, APIs, and cloud-native solutions. You will own end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.

Lead architecture reviews, set engineering standards, mentor developers and partners, and drive modern practices including DevSecOps, CI/CD, and IaC while aligning with risk, compliance, and operational

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in software engineering leadership and delivery.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with React and/or Angular and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Kubernetes (GKE preferred) and cloud-native app development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC (GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Terraform).
• Hands-on with API management (Apigee) and integration platforms.
• Security models (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT) and API security.
• Databases including PostgreSQL, BigQuery; data integration/analytics.
• OpenAPI/Swagger, observability, and monitoring tools.
• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare/pharmacy/financial).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise apps, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
• Own end-to-end technical solution delivery across multiple workstreams with security and reliability.
• Define and drive architecture, standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide implementation strategies.
• Lead architecture reviews, estimates, and planning; balance debt, cost, and risk.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and partners.
• Escalation point for complex issues; lead root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Review designs, code, infrastructure, and deployment strategies for quality and compliance.
• Drive DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, observability; promote engineering excellence.
