Cardinal Health, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to provide technical leadership and hands-on development for complex enterprise applications, integrations, and cloud-native platforms.

You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Infra, and Delivery teams to ensure strategic objectives are achieved. You will own end-to-end technical solution delivery across multiple workstreams, drive architecture, maintain coding standards, and mentor engineers while guiding

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience preferred
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, React and/or Angular
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform (preferred)
• Strong experience with Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD Pipelines: GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Terraform
• Hands-on experience with API Management and Integration platforms such as Apigee & Other enterprise integration platforms
• Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, API Security, Authentication and Authorization models
• Experience with PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience using OpenAPI / Swagger, API lifecycle management, Automated testing frameworks, Observability and monitoring tools
• Experience working within regulated environments such as healthcare, pharmacy, or financial services
• Understanding of HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, SSDLC, Risk and compliance controls
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives
• Experience building enterprise integration platforms and API ecosystems

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native solutions
• Own end-to-end technical solution delivery across multiple workstreams
• Define and drive technical architecture, engineering standards, and development best practices
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide implementation strategies
• Lead architecture reviews and project milestones across initiatives
• Drive design decisions balancing business objectives, debt, and performance
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and partners
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical challenges and incidents
• Lead root cause analysis to improve stability
• Review designs, code, and deployment strategies for quality and compliance
• Drive DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, observability adoption
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance teams
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve outcomes and productivity
• Design and implement integration solutions using APIs and event-driven architectures
• Provide end-to-end oversight across application, integration, data, and infra domains
• Establish technical roadmaps for modernization and automation
• Ensure operational excellence with monitoring, alerts, HA/DR, performance
