Job summary

Cardinal Health in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and hands‑on software development for enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud‑native platforms.

You will own end‑to‑end delivery across multiple workstreams, define architecture and development standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience, preferably in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native solutions.
• Own end-to-end technical solution delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Define and drive technical architecture, engineering standards, design patterns, and development best practices across teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide teams through implementation strategies.
• Lead technical planning, estimation, and architecture reviews for all initiatives.
• Drive design decisions balancing business objectives, technical debt, operational supportability, performance, cost, and risk.
