Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division is seeking a Program Supervisor for the Lodge social services team. You will supervise intake, case management, and direct care referrals to housing, counseling, medical care, and school enrollment for children, ensuring services run at full capacity.

You will manage statistics, staff training, hiring decisions, policy development, and crisis response while representing the Army in community relations and external collaborations.

Qualifications

• MSW required.
• Minimum 5 years of staff supervision experience.
• Interest in homelessness and social services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise intake process and ensure capacity is maintained.
• Supervise case management with weekly reviews and documentation.
• Oversee direct care services including referrals for housing, counseling, medical care, and enrollment for children.
• Maintain program statistics and timely reporting.
• Plan staff training with Administration Coordinator and coordinate volunteers.
• Participate in hiring decisions and evaluate staff performance.
• Develop and maintain policies for the social services department.
• Lead during emergencies and coordinate with Director on critical events.
• Engage in community relations and professional/government committees.
• Attend staff meetings and perform all other duties as assigned.
