Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division is seeking a Social Services Manager to lead the Lodge's social services program, supervise case management, and coordinate services including housing referrals and counseling. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Program Director and supervises Case Managers and Shift Supervisors.

You will develop policies, manage statistics, and participate in hiring while ensuring supportive, confidential service aligned with the Army’s mission.

Qualifications

• MSW degree (Master of Social Work) required.
• Minimum 5 years in staff supervision and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise intake and ensure appropriate clients access the program and maintain full capacity.
• Supervise case management with weekly reviews, case plans, and file reviews; provide feedback.
• Supervise direct services including referrals to housing, counseling, medical care, and education.
• Maintain program statistics and timely reporting; work with Admin Coordinator on staff training and volunteers.
• Participate in hiring, evaluate staff performance, and advise Director.
• Develop and maintain social services policies and procedures; oversee emergencies and crisis response.
