Job summary

TikTok is seeking a video codec verification engineer to join a team building industry-leading FPGA/ASIC hardware accelerators for video encoding and processing.

You will develop verification plans, build advanced UVM environments, and drive 100% code and functional coverage while collaborating with algorithm, architecture, software, firmware, and hardware experts to deliver scalable video platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Microelectronics, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years in ASIC/SoC verification.
• Mastery of SystemVerilog and UVM; able to build IP/SoC verification environments.
• Proficiency with sim/debug tools (VCS/Incisive/Questa, Verdi).
• Strong debugging and scripting skills (Python/Perl/Shell).

Responsibilities

• Develop verification plans from architecture/design specs.
• Build reusable UVM environments and components.
• Create high‑quality testcases; run constrained random and directed tests.
• Achieve 100% functional and code coverage; drive closure.
• Support GLS, FPGA prototyping, and hardware/software co-debugging.
