Job summary

Cambia Health is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and optimize Snowflake ELT pipelines and data models for enterprise analytics. You will mentor engineers, drive standards, and contribute to platform strategy in a complex health-care data environment.

You'll collaborate with analytics, product, governance, QA, and business teams, ensuring data quality, observability, and scalable solutions while advancing DataOps, CI/CD, and AI tool adoption.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering, with senior or lead experience.
• College degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• A college degree may be substituted by sufficient years of experience in the health care industry.
• Experience with a business area that is supported by this position is preferred (e.g., Provider Network and Contract Management, Digital Solutions, Pricing, Membership, Claims).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Data Engineers; drive engineering standards and best practices.
• Independently design, build, tune, and own scalable Snowflake ELT pipelines, data models (with Modeling team), and platform artifacts supporting analytics/operational workloads.
• Optimize performance (query tuning, compute sizing, workload isolation, cost management).
• Partner with analytics, product, governance, QA, and business teams to deliver high-quality, observable data solutions.
• Contribute to platform strategy, risk assessments, and adoption of modern practices (DataOps, CI/CD, AI tools).
• Ensure data quality, testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrate technical leadership by breaking down complex work and delivering value in squad/model environments.
