Job summary

Cambia Health is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer who will lead and mentor Data Engineers, owning end-to-end Snowflake ELT pipelines and data models in a complex enterprise environment.

You will optimize performance, contribute to platform strategy, and collaborate with analytics, product, governance, QA, and business teams to deliver observable data solutions while growing into principal-level roles.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Data Eng or Data Platform Eng, with senior or lead experience.
• Degree in CS/Math/Business or related fields.
• Experience in healthcare data context preferred (Provider Network etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Data Engineers; drive engineering standards and best practices.
• Independently design, build, tune, and own scalable Snowflake ELT pipelines, data models, and platform artifacts supporting analytics/operational workloads.
• Optimize performance (query tuning, compute sizing, workload isolation, cost management).
• Partner with analytics, product, governance, QA, and business teams to deliver high‑quality, observable data solutions.
• Contribute to platform strategy, risk assessments, and adoption of modern practices (DataOps, CI/CD, AI tools).
• Ensure data quality, testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrate technical leadership by breaking down complex work and delivering value in squad/model environments.
