Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to lead a team of Data Engineers, designing and owning scalable Snowflake ELT pipelines and data models to support analytics and operational workloads.

You will mentor engineers, drive engineering standards, collaborate with product and governance teams, and advance platform strategy with DataOps and CI/CD practices. This role offers growth into principal roles or leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering, with senior or lead experience.
• College degree in computer science, math, or related field; health care industry experience acceptable as substitute.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Data Engineers; drive engineering standards and best practices.
• Independently design, build, tune, and own scalable Snowflake ELT pipelines, data models with Modeling team, and platform artifacts supporting analytics/operational workloads.
• Optimize performance through query tuning, compute sizing, workload isolation, and cost management.
• Partner with analytics, product, governance, QA, and business teams to deliver high-quality, observable data solutions.
• Contribute to platform strategy, risk assessments, and adoption of DataOps, CI/CD, and AI tools.
• Ensure data quality, testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrate technical leadership by breaking down complex work and delivering value in squad/model environments.
