Fivetran is seeking a seasoned community manager to lead our dbt community team, focusing on growing the dbt Slack community and fostering a welcoming, high-signal space where data practitioners connect, learn, and collaborate.

You will partner with internal teams to scale moderation, surface insights to Product/Marketing/Support, and drive engagement across the globe. The compensation range for this role is presented by our recruiting team as $130,068-$162,585.50 USD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital community management in a global environment.
• Experience owning day-to-day operations for large online communities.
• Understanding of online community dynamics to build trust at scale.
• Experience building moderation and support workflows with CoC enforcement.
• Excellent written communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience using community tooling to track engagement and trends.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community and ensure a welcoming, high-signal experience worldwide.
• Partner with community leaders and internal stakeholders to evolve channel strategy and engagement programming.
• Develop and maintain scalable moderation and support workflows, including Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Coach and support moderators; recruit and onboard new moderators as the community grows.
• Create content systems to keep members informed and activated (announcements, prompts, highlights).
• Surface community insights and feedback to Product, Marketing, and Support; close the loop on outcomes.
• Monitor and report on key engagement metrics (growth, activation, retention, response times).
• Manage the community tool stack and document best practices.
• Plan for incident response in collaboration with Legal/People/Security as needed.
• Support cross-channel digital engagement efforts to create a cohesive member journey.
