Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a seasoned digital community leader to own the dbt Slack community globally. You will shape engagement, establish guidelines, and scale moderation in partnership with product and marketing teams.

You'll drive member activation, surface insights, and manage cross-channel engagement while maintaining a welcoming, high-signal space for data practitioners around the world.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in digital community management or equivalent.
• Experience owning day-to-day operations for large online communities (Slack/Discord/forum).
• Strong understanding of online community dynamics and building trust at scale.
• Experience building/modifying moderation and support workflows, including Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Excellent written communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community worldwide.
• Collaborate with community leaders and internal teams to evolve guidelines and engagement programs.
• Develop scalable moderation and support workflows and incident response processes.
• Coach moderators; recruit and onboard new moderators as the community grows.
• Create content systems to keep members informed and activated (announcements, highlights, prompts).
• Surface insights to Product, Marketing, and Support; close the loop with outcomes.
• Monitor engagement metrics and run experiments to improve them.
• Manage the community tool stack and document best practices.
