Xometry in Waltham, MA is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to shape the reliability of our infrastructure and software systems. You will lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor senior engineers.

As a senior IC, you will design scalable platforms on AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with product and engineering teams. The role offers a hybrid work model and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure management or backend software development in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep technical expertise in Python, JavaScript, or Unix Shell.
• Extensive experience with AWS across multiple accounts and regions.
• Proven expertise with Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of the most complex, cross-cutting technical challenges and drive them to completion.
• Define the long-term technical roadmap and strategy for core SRE platforms and services.
• Architect, scope, and drive delivery of major engineering initiatives with careful trade-offs.
• Set the standard for clean, efficient, and well-documented code and system improvements.
• Collaborate across teams and communicate progress, blockers, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship and foster adoption of observability and security best practices.
• Develop, configure, and maintain platforms (AWS, networking, Kubernetes) with scalability in mind.
• Develop and maintain observability and monitoring tools, including SLOs/SLIs.
• Develop, configure, and maintain CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
