Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to define the technical strategy for reliability and performance of our infrastructure and software systems. In this senior role you will lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor senior engineers, and influence architectural decisions across the technology organization.

You will develop and maintain platforms on AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling, while advancing observability, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in infrastructure management or backend software development.
• Extensive experience with AWS across multiple accounts and regions.
• Deep expertise with Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Proven experience leading technical projects with cross-functional impact.
• Strong communication and collaboration with technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of the most complex, cross-cutting technical challenges and drive them to completion.
• Define the long-term technical roadmap and strategy for core SRE platforms and services.
• Architect, scope, and drive delivery of major engineering initiatives with sound trade-offs.
• Set the standard for clean, efficient, and well-documented code and improvements.
• Collaborate across teams and communicate progress, blockers, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship and promote organization-wide best practices for observability and security.
• Develop, configure, and maintain platforms (AWS accounts, networking, Kubernetes clusters).
• Develop, configure, and maintain observability tools and CI/CD tooling, including SLOs/SLIs and pipelines.
