Job summary

Vida is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Enablement Team in a fully remote role with no time-zone restrictions. You will own and modernize our infrastructure, partner with engineering, and drive reliability for enterprise launches starting January 1.

You will consolidate Terraform patterns, enhance automation with GitHub Actions, and improve observability across Datadog and Cloud Monitoring. This role emphasizes security, HIPAA considerations, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering with ownership of production systems.
• Deep hands-on Terraform experience across environments.
• Proficient in Python for tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate Terraform into a clean, documented structure for the team.
• Normalize environments and improve build/deploy automation with GitHub Actions.
• Apply patches and upgrades to Cloud SQL databases and runtimes.
• Right-size compute and DB workloads for growth.
• Evaluate Kubernetes architecture for multi-cluster setups.
• Improve monitoring and observability with Datadog and Cloud Monitoring.
• Design observability access for contractors while protecting PHI.
• Retire legacy infra and build runbooks and on-call rotation.
