Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III for multiple US locations, including Palo Alto, CA and Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on building reliable, scalable systems using cloud and AI/ML-enhanced tooling within the CDAO AI/ML & Data Platforms team.

You will drive automated deployments, SRE best practices, and proactive incident resolution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve availability and performance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Proficient in site reliability culture with understanding of SLI/SLO/SLA and error budgets.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, and .Net, including Python or PySpark for AI/ML modeling.
• Experience with AI capabilities for incident resolution and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in system design, resiliency, testing, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Guides and assists others in building designs and consensus for site reliability best practices, including Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborates with engineers to design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using CI/CD pipelines.
• Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis while handling data securely.
• Implements infrastructure and network as code for applications and platforms.
• Resolves complex problems and coordinates incident management with stakeholders to prevent customer impact.
• Applies AI capabilities to identify reliability risks and support intelligent automation for troubleshooting.
• Participates in root cause analysis and production changes.
