Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer III to join the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) AI/ML & Data Platforms team. You will implement and optimize reliable, scalable systems using cloud infra, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-powered incident resolution.

You will lead reliability design, collaborate with software engineers, and apply SRE best practices to minimize toil and improve SLIs/SLOs, while handling sensitive data with strong governance and risk controls.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
Proficient in SRE culture and principles with understanding of SLI/SLO/SLA and error budgets.
Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, and .Net, including Python or PySpark for AI/ML modeling and automation.
Working knowledge of enterprise AI capabilities for SRE workflows and troubleshooting.
Ability to validate AI-assisted operational recommendations and maintain data sensitivity and risk controls.
Hands-on experience in system design, resiliency, testing, operational stability, and disaster recovery.
Experience with observability and incident management using common tools.

Responsibilities

Guides and assists others in designing, gaining consensus, and adopting SRE best practices with modern technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Collaborates with software engineers to design, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches with CI/CD pipelines.
Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis, including AI/ML solutions for resolution.
Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
Coordinates with stakeholders to resolve problems and proactively address issues using SLIs and SLOs.
Applies AI capabilities to identify patterns indicating reliability risk and supports automation for troubleshooting.
Recognizes roadblocks and explores new technologies to solve business problems.
Participates in root cause analysis and production change implementation.
Supports availability, reliability, and scalability improvements in collaboration with partners.
