Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager to lead the Field Operations Team on field/project based work. You will own safety, schedule, quality, and subcontractor coordination from project start to closeout.

The role requires 10+ years of construction experience, strong leadership, and the ability to travel to project sites across the United States. You will mentor staff and ensure adherence to Gray’s safety program and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years related construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and contracts.
• Experience leading on-site project teams and coordinating with design, project, and schedule management.
• Strong people management and mentoring capabilities.
• Proficiency with site safety programs and enforcing safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Own all field activities from start-up to project completion, including safety, quality, schedule, planning, logistics, and on-site leadership.
• Maintain and track project schedule; create 2–3 week lookaheads and use schedules to drive on-time delivery.
• Provide real-time schedule data to PM/Scheduler and support schedule maintenance.
• Ensure site safety compliance and intervene to address unsafe conditions.
• Train project team on Gray software such as CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E-Time, and GoGray.
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and ensure cross-team cooperation.
• Prepare monthly project reports covering safety, schedule, subcontractor performance, quality, budget, and client relations.
• Support buyout of subcontracts and procurement scheduling to align with project timeline.
• Mentor and develop site team members and enforce Gray policies.
• Oversee site setup, daily walk-throughs for quality and safety, and closeout procedures.
