Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead field operations on major construction projects. The role requires ownership of all field activities, from mobilization through closeout, with emphasis on safety, schedule integrity, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in construction, strong reading of drawings, and proven ability to manage on-site teams and subcontractors while maintaining budget and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 10+ years related construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and financial reports.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage on-site project teams.
• Strong people management and collaboration between design, project, and schedule management.
• Proficient with construction software tools including Bluebeam, Excel, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of all field activities from start-up to project completion.
• Maintain and track overall project schedule with lookaheads to deliver on time.
• Provide real-time data to PM/Scheduler for schedule updates.
• Ensure site safety requirements are met and coach subcontractors on safety.
• Lead, mentor, and train on Gray software and processes.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and monitor budget, quality, and customer relations.
