Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for field/project-based work across the United States. This role will act as the overall Site Manager during off-rotation periods and will assist in developing scopes of work, schedules, and estimates for self-performed tasks, with potential to lead small projects under $5M.

The candidate will manage multiple divisions of work, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required.
• Minimum three years of construction experience or five years with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.
• Strong reading of architectural/engineering drawings, cost reports, and contracts required.

Responsibilities

• Function as the overall Site Manager during off rotation for the Site Manager.
• Develop scopes of work for review and approval.
• Develop and manage project schedules; prepare estimates for self-performed work and assist in overall estimates.
• May function as Site Manager on small projects (<$5M).
• Oversee multiple divisions of work and all means/methods of construction.
• Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers; assist in bidder selection and pricing.
• Prepare reports such as cost-to-complete, monthly billings, and status/progress reports.
• Review drawings and coordinate field documentation; keep current set.
• Ensure safety and quality standards on site; enforce Gray's safety program.
