Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Simulation Analysis Engineer to join the Onsite team. You will work on high‑fidelity missile simulations and decision support systems within the ISMA center, contributing to novel modeling approaches and validation efforts.

The role targets candidates with a STEM degree, 5+ years of experience, MATLAB or Python expertise, and experience in two areas such as systems engineering, C/C++/Java, AI/ML, or HPC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and at least five years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python.
• Experience in two of: Systems engineering life cycle; Software development and/or OO design using C/C++ and/or Java; AI/ML and/or Surrogate Modeling; Computation on high-performance computing (HPC).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and use high-fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments.
• Conduct trade studies to assess weapon system performance against threats in various kill chain scenarios.
• Apply performance engineering practices to evaluate improvements and countermeasures.
• Collaborate with program, external customers, or team experts to develop analytic approaches for informed decisions.
• Develop and validate model-based solutions powering decision support systems; participate in validation/testing of models and components.
• Occasional travel as needed to support the customer/program (<10%).
