Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC seeks an Engineers Technician V (Electrical & IR Survey) to provide full-time on-site support aboard U.S. Navy ships at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

You will troubleshoot and assess shipboard electrical systems and perform infrared surveys to ensure fleet readiness. The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on Navy electrical experience, a current clearance or ability to obtain one, and strong communication skills to train Ship's Force and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and assessing U.S. Navy electrical equipment including shipboard electrical systems and IR surveys.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance (U.S. citizen) and readiness for clearance prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for Code 262 equipment.
• Act as senior SME and lead for assessment teams and on-site or distance support.
• Conduct pre-job briefings and report equipment readiness status.
• Assist with technical input and preparation of DFS and ESR responses.
• Deliver TAVRs and ship-visit debriefs.
