Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician V (Diesels) to provide full-time support for US Naval shipboard auxiliary equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA. You will work with Navy personnel aboard ships and at regional facilities to troubleshoot, maintain, assess, and train Ship's Force for Fleet readiness.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and the ability to conduct inspections and onboard maintenance training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience operating, repairing, maintaining US Navy diesel engines and support systems.
• Ability to use computers and MS Office to compile reports and transfer photos.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite and surge support for Code 264 equipment.
• Perform diesel engine inspections, readiness inspections, FPAs per references.
• Conduct assessments and observe equipment operation with ship's force.
• Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians.
• Analyze inspection data to identify fault sources and recommend fixes.
• Report findings within two working days to the Team Leader/Branch Head.
