Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician VI (Diesels) to provide full-time, on-site support for U.S. Navy shipboard auxiliary equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

You will work with Navy personnel aboard ships and at maintenance facilities to troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain diesel systems, while training Ship's Force to improve readiness. The role requires at least 10 years of relevant experience, security clearance eligibility, and the ability to perform inspections and repairs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of relevant Navy diesel engine experience within the last 15 years.
• Proficiency with MS Office for reports and data transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide Full-Time onsite support, with surge capability for Code 264 equipment.
• Perform Diesel Engine inspections, Ready-to-Start Inspections, FPAs per references for ships within SWRMC's AOR.
• Conduct assessments and observations to determine equipment condition and perform adjustments as needed.
• Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians; support TSRA/INSURV tasks.
