Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician VI with U.S. Navy shipboard experience to provide full-time engineering support at SWRMC, San Diego, CA. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and assess shipboard systems and train Ship's Force to improve readiness.

The role requires ten years of relevant experience, extensive equipment knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively. Security clearance is required; position may involve travel and shipboard environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• Ten years of hands-on experience operating, repairing, maintaining and assessing U.S. Naval auxiliary equipment.
• Experience with firefighting, pollution abatement, and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Full-Time Onsite Support as well as Surge Support for Code 251 cognizant equipment.
• Conduct Fleet Technical Assistance on-site or via distance support, including evaluations, functional checks, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct inspections and assessments to determine equipment condition and adjust settings as needed.
