Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent with coursework in recreation/leisure or related field; 1 year related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports and correspondence; speak before groups.
• Budgeting knowledge and ability to read/monitor budgets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfortable with standard business software.
• CPR/First Aid Certification within 6 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, facilitate, and lead assigned recreation programs; supervise part-time staff and volunteers.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve concerns regarding assigned programs.
• Assist in creating program/department surveys to collect customer feedback.
• Review progress and recommend changes to improve programs.
• Assist with recruiting program participants and volunteers.
• Ensure facilities and equipment are clean and used safely.
• Promote programs and events via brochures, social media, and other channels.
• Provide clerical and administrative support for the assigned program area.
• Support special projects and events as needed.
• Maintain, monitor, purchase, and organize supplies and equipment for programs.
