Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an experienced Application Developer for the ServiceNow team. The role focuses on development, customization, and integration of ServiceNow solutions within a banking environment, leveraging NOW SDK and AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of ServiceNow experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a global team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of ServiceNow platform experience, development & implementation.
• NOW SDK usage including local app initialization, metadata transformation, and deploying scoped apps from a local IDE.
• Experience with Now Assist for creator AI to optimize development and automation.
• Experience with incident, problem, change, knowledge, service catalog, SLM, workflows and notifications.
• Strong knowledge of core platform features: flow designer, ACLs, server- and client-side APIs.
• Knowledge of ATF, reports, dashboards, import sets, transformations, update sets and upgrades.
• Experience developing custom scoped applications.
• Understanding of ITSM, CSM, Event Management, Integrations, Orchestration.
• REST APIs experience.
• MID Server, CMDB, discovery, and asset management knowledge.
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a global team.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation.
• Provide software coding and customization including screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, and custom app development.
• Leverage NOW SDK to design, build, and package scoped applications locally within VS Code.
• Use Now Assist for Creator AI to accelerate development and automate code/workflows.
• Update and maintain testing protocols for ServiceNow upgrades to certify apps post-upgrade.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow needs in banking environments within SDLC.
• Own and drive enhancements to improve reliability and performance of existing solutions.
• Analyze risks and gaps; resolve issues; drive scalability, performance, and monitoring strategies.
• Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets.
• Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.
