Job summary

ASM Research is seeking a ServiceNow Engineer to provide advanced engineering, configuration, and integration support for the enterprise ServiceNow platform within a federal IT environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of ServiceNow experience with hands-on engineering or development in large multi-module instances.
• Expertise configuring and customizing core ServiceNow apps and building integrations using APIs and web services.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration with owners, leads, and infra teams.
• Experience planning upgrades per change-management processes, including testing and rollback.
• Current secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel 10–25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, SPM, SAM, SecOps and related apps following governance standards.
• Develop and maintain integrations using APIs, web services, and MID servers to connect ServiceNow with monitoring, identity, and business systems; resolve issues quickly.
• Plan and execute platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements with regression testing and rollback planning.
• Configure and customize workflows, forms, dashboards, and data models while maintaining performance, security, and supportability.
• Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to ensure configurations and data handling meet federal requirements.
• Apply scripting and automation to streamline administration, deployment, and routine tasks.
• Troubleshoot platform issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Document solutions and procedures to support knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
