Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission-enabling applications for HUD. This remote role emphasizes building scalable solutions, ensuring compliance, and delivering secure, well‑documented workflows.

Responsibilities include full SDLC execution, collaboration with stakeholders, and modernization of legacy processes while adhering to HUD security and governance standards. Experience with federal civilian programs is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience developing ServiceNow apps for federal civilian agencies.
• SDLC executed with Agile, DevOps or DevSecOps under HUD governance.
• Securing ServiceNow apps per HUD OCIO cybersecurity standards and directives.
• Integrating ServiceNow with external systems used by federal agencies.
• Translate HUD program needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication with HUD stakeholders and teams.
• Experience in fast-paced federal environments with governance models.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow governance or CSDM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure applications within the ServiceNow platform using App Engine, Flow Designer, and UI Builder.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate needs into scalable applications.
• Execute the full SDLC using Scrum, Agile, DevSecOps, Lean, and Waterfall.
• Troubleshoot issues related to integration, MID Server, deployment, and defects.
• Apply ServiceNow best practices and governance to minimize technical debt.
• Maintain HUD security compliance and data protection standards.
• Produce technical documentation including Software Product Documentation and Update Set logs.
• Support lifecycle modernization and migration of legacy workflows.
• Provide platform insights on governance, capability planning, and digital transformation.
