Job summary

AbbVie in Cambridge, MA seeks a discipline expert and technical leader to design and govern enterprise technology solutions, aligning with Enterprise Architecture standards and ensuring scalability and security across core systems.

You will mentor teams, guide ServiceNow and workflow initiatives, partner with business, HR, IT and BTS stakeholders, and help shape multi-year roadmaps while balancing strategic and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Science/Technology with extensive experience (9+ years for BS, 8+ for MS, 4+ for PhD)
• Strong ServiceNow technical background in enterprise systems and solution architecture
• Experience designing and governing enterprise service management, Service Portal, Catalogs, HR, CSM, GRC and workflow automation
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Develops and drives discipline strategy aligned with functional goals and architecture.
• Provides architectural leadership and design guidance for enterprise service management and ServiceNow.
• Ensures quality and effectiveness of major initiatives through sound architecture and risk mitigation.
• Partners with business, HR, IT, and BTS stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable tech solutions.
• Reviews and evaluates solution options, enhancements, and integrations for enterprise impact and security.
• Mentors and shares architectural best practices to advance the function.
• Identifies and evaluates emerging technology trends for long-term planning.
• Shapes vendor and partner relationships in line with corporate standards and values.
• Ensures adherence to security, compliance, data protection, and audit requirements.
• Contributes to multi-year roadmaps and project plans to identify risks and opportunities.
