Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment or related service operations.
• Experience in service leadership or as Service Manager preferred.
• Strong leadership in coaching technicians.
• Knowledge of service orders, warranty processes, and shop workflow.
• Understanding of departmental financials, budgeting, and profitability.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to analyze reports and take action.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and service-management systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Service Department, including scheduling and workflow.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop service technicians.
• Assign repair work based on skills, workload, and priorities.
• Set annual department goals, budgets, and performance targets.
• Monitor financial and operational performance for profitability.
• Review repair orders for accuracy and documentation before billing.
• Oversee warranty and product improvement claims submission.
• Develop processes to improve efficiency and repair quality.
• Support service-related sales and marketing to grow revenue.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and handle escalated issues.
• Ensure service tools, vehicles, and resources are properly maintained.
• Analyze internal reports and service metrics for improvements.
• Promote a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
