Job summary

The ideal candidate has a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of board design experience, strong mixed-signal skills, sensor design expertise, and the ability to work with CAN/I2C/SPI, Altium, EMI testing, and security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or higher in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of board design experience.
• Strong circuit design and mixed-signal expertise.
• Experience with sensor design, build, test, and integration.
• UAS, power electronics, converter or powertrain design experience.
• Proficient with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes, and test automation.
• Familiar with CAN, I2C, SPI interfaces.
• Proficient with Altium and other CAD tools.
• Experience with EMI testing.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and validation of proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles.
• Vehicle-level integrations and full lifecycle design from concept through production.
• Full cycle PCB design including requirements, schematic, layout, bring-up, test, and debug.
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment.
• Provide support and collaborate within other air vehicle subsystem development constraints.
• Vendor surveys and evaluation to support sourcing for system components.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews.
• Build up and test of engine system components through lab, ground, and flight tests.
• Root cause analysis in support of field operations.
