Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Sensor Systems in Waltham, MA to design, test, and validate proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles. You will lead full lifecycle PCB design, from requirements through production, and build system interconnects and wire harnesses.

This role demands 7+ years in electrical engineering with board-level expertise, sensor design, EMI testing, and experience with CAN/I2C/SPI; security clearance eligibility is required; Altium or similar

Qualifications

• BS/MS or higher in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of board design experience.
• Strong background in circuit design, including components, and mixed-signal design.
• Experience with sensor design, build, test, and integration.
• Design experience in UAS, power electronics, converter design, or powertrain.
• Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI interfaces and EMI testing.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and validation of proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles.
• Vehicle-level integrations and complete lifecycle design from concept through production.
• Full cycle PCB design including establishing or collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system.
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment.
• Provide support and collaborate within other air vehicle subsystem development constraints.
• Vendor surveys and evaluation to support sourcing for system components.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
• Build up and test of engine system components through lab, ground, and flight tests
• Root cause analysis in support of field operations
