Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, test, and integration of sophisticated proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles. You will own PCB design end-to-end and collaborate across air-vehicle subsystems in a fast-paced defense tech environment.

Qualifications include 10+ years in complex board design, sensor integration, EMI testing, and experience with UAS or power electronics. You must be comfortable with Altium or similar CAD tools and eligible for a U.S.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years of experience designing, testing and troubleshooting complex board designs.
• Strong background in circuit design, including components, and mixed-signals design.
• Experience with sensor design, build, test and integration.
• Design experience in UAS, power electronics, converter design or powertrain.
• Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes and automation of tests.
• Familiarity with standard interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
• Comfortable with a variety of electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred, Eagle and others acceptable)
• Experience in EMI testing.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and validation of proximity sensors for our autonomous vehicles.
• Vehicle-level integrations and complete lifecycle design from concept through production.
• Full cycle PCB design including establishing or collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system.
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment.
• Provide support and collaborate within other air vehicle subsystem development constraints.
• Vendor surveys and evaluation to support sourcing for system components.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
• Build up and test of engine system components through lab, ground and flight tests
• Root cause analysis in support of field operations
