Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, test, and validate proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles. You will drive vehicle-level integration from concept to production, manage full PCB design cycles, and collaborate across subsystems to ensure robust system performance.

The role requires 10+ years in complex board design, sensor integration, EMI testing, and familiarity with CAN/I2C/SPI interfaces.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs.
Experience with sensor design and integration in aerospace/defense.
Knowledge of UAS, power electronics, converters, or powertrains.
Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI interfaces; strong CAD tool proficiency.

Responsibilities

Design, test, and validation of proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles.
Vehicle-level integrations and lifecycle design from concept through production.
Full cycle PCB design: requirements, schematic, layout, bring-up, test, debug, integration.
Develop system interconnect diagrams and wire harness definitions.
Provide cross-functional collaboration with other subsystems.
Vendor surveys and component sourcing support.
Conduct design reviews and test-related evaluations.
Build and test engine system components through lab, ground, and flight tests.
Root cause analysis in support of field operations.
