SpaceX, a leader in space exploration, seeks a Manager of Semiconductor Sourcing (Starlink) to own strategy, supplier management, and delivery of cutting-edge components. You will lead a team, collaborate with design engineers, and drive cost, quality, and supply chain resilience across multi-year roadmaps.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, experience negotiating large contracts, and a proven track record in high-velocity environments.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years in purchasing/procurement, planning, operations, engineering, or 10+ years in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years in a management role with direct reports.
• Experience directly negotiating contracts and sourcing suppliers.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of sourcing specialists, managers, and/or global supply managers to ensure continuity of supply for hardware.
• Drive improvement, standardization, and scalability of planning tools, workflows, and resources.
• Assess employee performance and provide feedback, with corrective actions when needed.
• Own vision and strategy for assigned categories through NPI and production phases; include cost management and supplier development.
• Visit supplier facilities to assess capability, financial health, and capacity for contracts.
• Conduct comprehensive supplier analysis including risk assessment and market position.
• Collaborate to define SLAs and KPIs and evaluate performance across key metrics.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives on contracts and cost reductions.
• Provide guidance on design for manufacturability and trade analysis for components.
• Ensure partners support prototype builds and ramp-up for production.
• Negotiate long-term contracts to secure supply and SpaceX interests.
