SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Manager, Semiconductor Sourcing to own end-to-end strategy and supplier delivery for cutting-edge components.

You will lead a team of sourcing professionals and partner with design engineering to define roadmaps, secure high-volume supply, and drive cost, quality, and speed improvements across programs. The role requires strategic leadership in fast-paced environments.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in procurement, material planning, or supply chain management.
• 3+ years in a management role with direct reports.
• Experience negotiating contracts and leading strategic sourcing programs.

Mansioni

• Lead a team of sourcing professionals to ensure continuity of supply for hardware.
• Drive optimization of planning tools, workflows, and resources.
• Assess performance, provide feedback, and take corrective actions when needed.
• Own category strategy through NPI and production phases including cost management and supplier development.
• Visit supplier facilities to assess capability, financial health, and capacity for new product development.
• Conduct supplier analysis and define SLAs/KPIs; evaluate cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives regarding contracts and supply issues.
• Guide internal customers on manufacturability and trade analysis for components and assemblies.
• Ensure support for prototype builds with appropriate equipment and materials and negotiate long-term contracts.
