Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, VT seeks a Maintenance Technician for Fab 9, a 200mm semiconductor facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes, working with production teams and area engineers to ensure reliability and manufacturing readiness.

The role requires standing for long shifts, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing maintenance in a cleanroom while following strict safety and EHS protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Electrical or mechanical experience with multiple pathways is acceptable.
• Cleanroom environment experience is required.
• Must be fluent in English (written & verbal).
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift with flexible days.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions to complete maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and schedule maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate status to leads/engineers.
• Ensure safety policies are followed in a high‑volume fab environment.
