Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, VT, seeks a Maintenance Technician for Fab 9 200mm operations. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes, partnering with production teams and area engineers to ensure manufacturing readiness.

The role involves preventive/corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and clear end-of-shift handoffs, with emphasis on safety and documentation. Training and cross-team collaboration are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical, one of the following: 2-year technical degree; 2 years of military experience; 4 years of relevant experience.
• Travel: Minimal travel.
• Language: English (Written & Verbal).
• Cleanroom environment experience per semiconductor protocol.

Responsibilities

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support EHS requirements.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and improve equipment and processes in Fab8 area.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer and document events.
• Shift flexibility and alternate week schedules may be required.
• Read and interpret schematics/diagrams and use basic hand tools.
