Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Essex Junction Fab 9, a 200mm facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting with a focus on safety and compliance.

You will collaborate with production teams, prepare end-of-shift handoffs, and participate in continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced fab environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical, one of the following: 2-year technical degree; 2 years of relevant military experience; 4 years of relevant experience (automotive repair, HVAC, etc)
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements
• Flexibility to work 3-4 day alternating weeks (day or night)

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and perform preventative and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve issues with cross-functional teams
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech and Engineers
• Follow safety policies and SOPs in a 12-hour shift
• Maintain documentation and pass-downs at end of shift
