Job summary

GlobalFoundries U.S. 2 LLC in Essex Junction is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Fab 9 (200mm). You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in collaboration with production teams and area engineers.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills, and communicating status updates to Leads. Must meet qualifications and be able to work 12-hour shifts in a cleanroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical degree with 4 years relevant experience, or 2 years military with 4 years relevant experience.
• 6 years of relevant experience in automotive repair, HVAC, or related fields.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and lift equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment per operating procedures.
• Monitor, test and recover semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Complete event documentation and end-of-shift pass downs to keep team informed.
• Work safely and use time management to prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced FAB9 environment.
