Job summary

Everon is seeking a skilled field technician to handle routine and emergency service calls, troubleshoot and repair security systems, and provide customer instruction on system operation. The role involves testing, documentation, and maintaining inventory, with a focus on safety and adherence to codes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial intrusion, fire, CCTV, intercom and access control systems, reads blueprints, and works well under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Vocational Training required.
• 5+ years of experience in related security systems.
• Mastery knowledge of commercial intrusion, fire, CCTV, intercom and access control systems.
• Full knowledge of local/national codes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills when working with others.
• Knowledge of testing equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers, decibel meters).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screening.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and related docs in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency service calls including troubleshooting, replacement and repair of equipment.
• Proctors, coaches, and teaches others.
• Provides reliable customer support and instruction on system operation.
• Performs system testing and signal verification.
• Maintains truck stock/inventory of equipment and tools.
• Organizes resources to ensure efficient task execution and timely completion.
• Documents service activities and hours worked.
• Completes required task-related activities and reports in a timely manner.
