Job summary

Everon is seeking a skilled field technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage systems in New Jersey. The role requires NICET certification and deep knowledge of intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access-control systems, with strong code compliance and leadership abilities.

You will read blueprints, train junior staff, and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining inventory and documentation. A valid driver’s license and pass of a drug test are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
• Five or more years of experience.
• Mastery knowledge of enterprise intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV and intercom access control systems.
• Full understanding of local and national codes.
• Proficiency with OSHA and HAZCOM regulations and national electrical code concepts.
• Strong communication/leadership skills when working with others.
• Ability to resolve complex field situations and lead multiple projects.
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear a drug screening.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and English documentation.

Responsibilities

• Installs and troubleshoots low voltage panels, wiring and devices.
• Proctor, coach, and teach others.
• Provide reliable customer support and instruction on system operation.
• Perform system testing and signal verification.
• Maintain truck stock/inventory of equipment and tools.
• Organize resources to ensure efficient task execution.
• Ensure progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Document service hours and work completed.
• Submit all task-related activities and productivity documentation on time.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Accept additional projects as assigned.
