Job summary

Everon in the United States is seeking a skilled field service technician to perform routine and emergency service calls, troubleshoot, replace and repair malfunctioning equipment, and work with minimal supervision. The position requires three or more years of experience with commercial intrusion, fire, CCTV, intercom and access control systems, plus the ability to read blueprints and follow local codes.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training required.
• 3+ years of experience in related field.
• Mastery knowledge of troubleshooting commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom and access control systems.
• Working knowledge to fully understand local/national codes.
• Mastery knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, battery analyzers and decibel meters.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to clear a drug screening.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies and procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency service calls. Troubleshoot, replace and/or repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Proctor, coach, and teach others.
• Provide reliable, high quality customer support.
• Instruct customers on system operation and functionality.
• Perform system testing and signal verification.
• Maintain truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
• Organize and utilize resources to ensure efficient task execution.
• Ensure progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Document service hours and tasks in a timely manner.
• Complete required activity and productivity documentation.
