Job summary

Convergint Federal is seeking a Service Technician III to install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems for U.S. Federal Government projects. You will work in the Field Operations Department and interact with clients to ensure top-tier service.

Ideal candidates have extensive hands-on experience with access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems, plus the ability to read blueprints and manage documentation with precision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in installation and maintenance of security systems.
• Experience with projects 100K+ and relevant state licenses where required.
• Must have or obtain applicable state/local industry licenses.
• Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and perform site surveys.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems including access control and video surveillance.
• Provide remote and on-site support and train clients on system operation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Document service activities, equipment inventory, and configuration changes.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and use troubleshooting tools to analyze performance.
• Maintain client relationships through effective communication and problem resolution.
